We take your child's safety seriously at HCOB

We have been working diligently to create procedures that will insure the safety of each and every child who enters the doors of our church, attends our events, or interacts with our members.

Read our Child Protection Manual (PDF)Sunday, September 18 is Child Protection Sunday at HCOB.

On Sunday, September 18, 2011 we will be devoting our service to explaining the Biblical and secular basis behind our Child Protection Policy.

The policies we will be outlining are not meant to constrict or burden our fellowship. We seek only to be "wise as serpents and harmless as doves" as Jesus instructed us. Through these policies and background checks we hope to make certain that every child at Hempfield Church of the Brethren is free to discover the freedom, joy, and beauty of the Gospel of Jesus Christ without the threat of harm.

We invite you to read our Child Protection Manual. We hope you will join us in praying for our children, and in carrying out the policies outlined in the Child Protection Manual. We believe that we can make a positive difference in the lives of our children, if we all work for their safety, peacefully, simply, together!

If you have any questions please contact Jen Statler or the church office.

"Safety and security
don't just happen,
they are the result
of collective consensus
and public investment.

We owe our children,
the most vulnerable citizens in our society,
a life free of
violence and fear."
